PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
We have introduced a new technology in mowing into the Middle East, which allows the cutting and mulching of clippings in one single operation, thereby significantly reducing green waste and improving the impact on the environment. This has become the Desert Group standard procedure in the mowing of projects with lager grass areas.
Shredding machines are used to manage green waste in a more cost effective manner as they reduce the amount of resources needed for gathering and disposal. The by-product of this operation is re-introduced into the park variously as soil amendments, composts and mulches.
Organic pesticides and fertilisers are our first choice. Chemical pesticides are only used as a last resort to manage pest and disease problems. All products are approved by the Dubai Municipality and are carefully selected to reduce the residual effect on the environment and minimise the risks to the public.
