The chief of Dubai Police, Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan Tamim’s Environmental Initiative cooperates with Desert Group’s ongoing (Let’s Plant The UAE Together) campaign through planting fruit trees in various areas within the emirate of Dubai along with Desert Group’s special needs gardeners who are now experts in that field. The awareness not only encourages environmental practices but it also educates the society of the Special Needs ability within the workforce.
Desert Group Special Needs inclusion program continues to prove that abilities and productivity of this particular segment within the society in general and workforce in particular. Through DG’s ongoing campaign (Let’s Plant The UAE Together) the special needs continue to educate governmental officials, corporate world and children in schools on how to plant and maintain fruit trees. A strong environmental message that would eventually create a well-aware and responsible generation. Fruit trees are donated by Desert Group to all location visited around the emirates. Achievements & Statistics:
Planted over 15,000 Fruit Trees across the UAE.
Planted a total of over 60 Schools nationwide.
Planted a total of 30 locations (governmental departments, colleges, mosques and other).
Played a role of consultant in Special Needs Inclusion for other corporate entities e.g. ASWAAQ
Educated school children planting trees and the importance of trees to the well-being of the environment.
Program is created in alliance with Ministry of Social Affairs, KHDA and visited governmental departments, colleges, and schools.
