The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and the Desert Group discussed ways to strengthen mutual co-operation and to coordinate efforts and visits, relating to tree-planting at the Mosques.
Dr. Umar Al Khatib Deputy Director of Islamic Affairs yesterday morning received in his office Mr. Ali Ibrahim Badi Director board Member and Executive Director of Administrative and Marketing Affairs, Ali Al Haj Makki Government Relation Administration Affairs Director and Hussain AlBaqli Promotion Manager, in presence of Fahad Al Hajeri Director of Service and Engineering Department. They discussed the importance of continued discussion to support the “Let us Plant the UAE Together” campaign which was launched by Desert Group in order to educate the people on preservation of water resources, promoting agriculture, protection of agricultural environment, contribution to tree-planting of the UAE, to foster development of "green culture" to the local and governmental authorities, and to make every effort to preserve the environment and to participate in the efforts of society to create a healthy environment.
Mr. Ali Badi praised the efforts of the Department to present Islam and to spread the Islamic Culture which adopts the middle way in the propagation path to Allah the Great and Almighty.
